Hi there!

My name is Javier (like the actor Javier Bardem, or like the president of Argentina Javier Milei), but online I go by my screen name rameerez.

I’m a software guy, and I’ve been building software products for the past 10+ years.

I built and sold PromptHero (one of the biggest AI image generation sites, we created Openjourney too); I’ve also created apps and products like Hustl and others.

I like building cool things on the internet. I do what I do as a means of creative expression. Code is the best tool I’ve found to make the kind of things I want to create.

Most of my projects I do alone as an indie hacker: I single-handedly design, code, and operate them. I try to stay independent, so my energy and focus go towards my users and not towards 3rd party interests, like corporate politics or VCs pushing you to artificially grow your startup at any cost.

I don’t focus on a single industry or niche. I just try to use the tools at my disposal to solve my own problems, which sometimes happens to help others solve their own problems too.

Millions of people across the world use software I’ve built, including people at companies like Google, Uber or Adobe. My work has been featured in top international media like The Wall Street Journal, Vox, Fast Company, The Next Web and dozens of other publications worldwide.

I love working with cutting-edge technology. Particularly, I’m into Artificial Intelligence / data science and Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI)

P.S.: Follow me on Twitter to stay in the loop. I'm writing a book called Bold Hackers on making successful digital products as an indie hacker. Read other stories I've written. Subscribe below to get an alert when I publish a new post:
